The price for his services? $1.5 million, which is significantly less than the $2.4 million he would have made had he stayed at Tennessee.
To make things worse for him, the state income tax in California is going to eat away at a lot of that money as well, so he's going to be lucky to be seeing $850,000 after federal and state taxes (highest bracket in California, too).
To make things even worse, UCLA lost a lot of talent, and didn't replace it, which was one of the reasons why Chip Kelly bolted.
I was always told to find something good to say about someone, so I'll say this. He's a good example of how you can make your own life miserable by thinking too much of yourself.

Back when he was in high school, I would have loved for him to come to Notre Dame. I think that with his talent and abilities, combined with learning under Guidugli and Denbrock, he could have been something special.
If he had come here from the start, I also think that the ND culture would have had a much more positive impact on him, instead of the atmosphere in Tennessee.
He's made his own bed, so now it's time for him to sleep in it.
He's using his son's to enrich himself.
I hate what college football is becoming.
