the tape...5-7 round steal!
He was a very good nose tackle for us, but to be honest, he was at the lower end of size for a 3 technique (DT) tackle at the collegiate level. I know Al Golden had his reasons for putting people in that lineup last year, and I won't argue with his most excellent results. I simply thought that Rylie Mills would have been better at NT, and Cross at 3 technique tackle.
At the pro level, he's going to be smaller than just about any 3 technique tackle.
Since he was a six year senior, it's highly unlikely he's going to be able to pack on another 15-20 pounds and still keep his speed (decent, 4.96 time in the 40).
Anyone signing him (he's most likely a priority UDFA) is probably looking at him as either a spot reliever for the DT's, especially on passing downs, or looking to convert him to SDE, where his weight would be optimal, but his height limits him (most DE's are at least 6' 3" or taller).
I hope he proves everyone wrong, though, and thrives in the NFL. I'm pulling hard for him, given how he has busted his butt for us for the last 6 years.

Richardson would be the perfect QB with his abilities. He probably has the strongest arm out of anyone in the league, along with being a ripped giant that makes Cam Newton look puny, as well as running a legit 4.40 in the 40 yard dash.
Unfortunately, he can't hit the broad side of a barn with his cannon arm, much less read coverages.

I've seen Morrison go from late 1st to late 3rd. I've seen Leonard from 5th to not picked at all. I've seen Watts as high as early 2nd to 4th.
Mocks are just mocks....one person's opinion who typically isn't involved in the process. It is a cottage industry and it's fun but folks who post here can develop their own mock and it would have just as much validity as Reuters.
All that's showing is his bench press from the Combine.
Typically, for a torn labrum in the hip (which is what he had), it takes anywhere from 6-9 months to fully heal after surgery. You can regain full strength, and be back to "normal," so it's not a career threatening injury like Bo Jackson's necrotic hip was.
It has been about six months since his injury, so if he has been following his PT faithfully, then I think he could certainly improve his standing.
