He's definitely better then a 4th round pick.
I blame his asshole father.

they would have taken him in the 1st rd, regardless of their QB room situation.

No one should feel sorry for Shadeur. A key indicator was the decision to retire the numbers of is number. Shadeur, had he shown any leadership and respect for the players that came before him, could have/should have stopped it. It is the height or arrogance and highly disrespectful of Colorado's football history.
Apparently, teams noticed the overall smugness.
Beyond that, while he may have been an able college quarterback, anyone who looked beyond the hype saw the flaws in his game re: the pro game.
This many pro scouts aren't wrong. On top of that, teams, knowing that Sanders isn't all that, are content to wait for next year's qb class which has 5 to 6 guys that are probably better than Sanders.
...and don't think that NFL teams didn't interview his teammates - most of whom left the team.
I don't see why he should get the spot of a more deserving candidate.
I do agree that it is wrong to watch him suffer.

…replete with his personal brand ‘Legendary’ prominently displayed.
Sorry, but I think it’s all very funny.
You don't draft a back up QB who is going to be a locker room distraction with the media.
Sanders certainly will be, atleast initially.

He was born wealthy…makes it tougher for most…
But when you build a draft room in your house with hats and the whole 9, and behave in the way that he has with the dad that he has, he's signaling that he's a problem.
expect the race card any time now.
...Colin Kaepernick, where they assert he's being blackballed because of his race.
I just wish they'd go away, let Sanders prove himself one way or the other, and let the results stand as the true testament to his skills.

accuracy, an injury history, a complete diva the level that makes Caleb Williams embarrassed and an aspiring rapper to boot.
He's almost un-draftable as a QB by any team that values locker room culture.
He could go lower.
The huge problem of his father. That has to be part of the reason. Was wondering if Jerry jones might be the only owner that might take that on. No idea if the cowboys need a QB or if any other team might want the added distraction of Deon.
On the flip side, maybe the kid didn’t do very well in his interviews with teams and that combined with the Deon factor has scared people away. Who knows

Retiring the kid's number is exactly what you would expect from the over the top ESPN promoted dad. GMs took notice.

The issie isn't about the contract $ because he has money. It's draft stature. He'll have to earn his keep in the NFL.
Remains to be seen.
Does he have the discipline and patience?
His college stats were overinflated, due to Deion Sanders running that hybrid system between run 'n shoot and spread-option. There was very little running game in Colorado last year, and Shedeur Sanders had the best player in all of college football (Travis Hunter) as his WR1, as well as a ball hawk who helped get him all of those possessions.
Travis Hunter was absolutely unstoppable, that he could beat most double coverages, even on poorly thrown balls, and covered up a lot of flaws in Sanders' QB performance.
If anything, it's a lot like our situation in 2022, where Mike Mayer covered up a lot of flaws in Drew Pyne. Those numbers put up by Pyne were very deceiving. On paper, they looked quite good, but when someone reads the fine print, or read the whole story, anyone who wasn't part of the Drew Pyne Fan(atic) Club knew that he was the limitation.
