The talent is definitely better, but the coaching is better too. I like how MF went out and hired
very good coordinators and assistants. I thought Golden did a really great job as DC and will be missed. It's nice to have a coach like that who knows what he is doing and he also had been a HC at other D1 programs. Just keeping it real, I'm a little leery about the Ash hiring for DC but will give him a fair shake. I hope he is awesome. ND just needs to keep recruiting at a very high level and continue to get the best coaches that they can.
Just a comment about the article itself. There is no way one can say that ND being in the NC game was a "fluke" when you had to go through the three teams/games that they did to get there. Also, the team, as pointed out, is young and there will be many more ND players drafted and drafted high in upcoming drafts.

tOSU's roster was "plug and play"
They basically bought all of the players they needed to win. That, plus Jeremiah Smith ended up being the best WR in all of college football as a true freshman (no exaggeration here).
