Bill Musgrave is the QB coach, Rees is the OC.

Musgrave is actually a pretty good QB coach. He managed to squeeze reasonably good performance from two has-beens (Winston, Watson).

He has coached three Pro Bowlers, and knows to to cater to their strengths, even getting Steve Beuerlein to have his finest season as a player in 1999. If he didn't play behind the worst OL in the league (sacked 62 times) in 2000, I think he could have had an even better year.

Frankly, I was surprised that they didn't promote him to OC, since he had been there longer, and did decently despite the team being terrible.

As long as Tommy Rees doesn't try to force Shedeur Sanders to be a "stay in the pocket, and look for the dink 'n dunk," and lets Musgrave work on him, Sanders might not be doomed to fail.

Then again, Dillon Gabriel is more of his RKG QB...
