I think that program needs a better HC, and real facilities.
I don't agree. The team came on strong, and are a dominant starter or two away from being competitive in a league primarily filled with warmer weather teams. It's difficult to recruit talented pitchers who would prefer to pitch in 70 degree weather versus the spring in South Bend.
Also, with only 11.75 scholarships, it's difficult to find players who can walk on and pay $75,000 a year for the privilege. State universities with significantly lower tuition costs are able to attract good walk-ons to complement the scholarship players.
Lots of good young talent on the team. Looking forward to better outcome next season.
Kinda helps Albany's point..no?
He is right but I don't believe we move the program ahead by firing the coach who is making some strides albeit slowly. Very difficult job, and who do you replace him with?
Link Jarret, who was supposed to be the next big thing has been OK at FSU, but not on par with their greats.
