He's driving SC dropping ND, and he alone.
ND should run it up on him in October.

Walked into room and he barked as I entered
So… you’re an ND Fan, I immediately said cuz I recognized him, ND KILLER
He showed me his ring, we embraced
Great memory

Tradition, honor, integrity? Foreign concepts to USC.
Just go for the money.

One or at most two tough games in the regular season, run up huge stats against the rest of the slate. Then a conference championship game (often a rematch). It was a pretty easy trip to the playoffs each year (where they'd be summarily dispatched in the 1st round).

years ago!
They already had a national profile thru their rivalry with ND.
Now they are relegated to being a second-tier team in a conference centered in the Midwest.
They also seriously screwed their non-football teams.
Geography still matters, and the cost and impact on players of the schedules in the new Big Ten is not good for the UCLA, USC, Oregon, etc. crew. They had other options. Money won.
Won’t last long anyway. The National super-conference w regional subdivisions is coming. Soon.
