Small arms fire, mortar fire, and incoming artillery are similar to the trump situation. I faced that situation. As a medal wearing Vietnam vet, I'm insulted.
A question for you...how old were you in 68-69. I was 22. I watched other 22yr old guys draw their last breath in Vietnam. I have a DD214 for proof.

win World War II as a 19 year old, but they never ever bring it up or speak of their service. The Viet Nam guy had an appointment with his doctor for Agent Orange issues but was at my mother's funeral 5 hours away from him the day before. We lost my uncle maybe three years ago if memory serves me right, at age 97. Of course thank you for your service, times were very difficult back then and I hated the crap you guys took.

A group of Vietnam protesters spotted me in my uniform. They descended on me calling me a baby killer, asshole, piece of shit.
I salute those in your family that served. WWII veterans are my heroes.
. Don't compare what they did to trump. It is a disservice to them.

I've known a couple of military doctors who were immediately commissioned as an O3 or even an O4, along clergy members.

Fresh faced JAG's start at O2, and can get to O3 in under a year.

There are other cases for specific professions where that's also possible, as well as those who have specific skills that are in very high demand in a field short of such folks, although that's uncommon.

Rocky Blier served his country in Vietnam when it called. Trump dodged the draft not once, not twice, but five times.

Rocky showed courage. Trump was a coward. Comparing the ear nick to what Rocky endured is silly and offensive to all who honorably answered the call of its country.

This should be on the Open Forum, but could not let this silly response go unaddressed.

I just love our country and am sickened by this weak excuse of a president.

My father flew hellcats in WWII and I have a child that was deployed in the Middle East. I honor and respect those that served this country.

I also find it reprehensible how he treated a democratic ally fighting for its existence. His pandering to Putin is nothing short of Chamberlain-esqe. Do you realize we had a treaty to stand by Ukraine if they disbanded their nuclear program. Trump violated this arrangement because he prefers authoritarians to democratic allies. And now this coward wants a military parade for his birthday; something military leaders called a fascist action.

Looking at his pathetic “tough guy” talk, when he was a draft dodging coward who is now known as TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out). It’s just lame.

Nothing wrong with that, so long as you acknowledge that.

Also, I just noticed, they have Woodrow Wilson as 15th greatest president. Really, the man who enabled the birth of the Creature from Jekyll Island is the 15th greatest?

Sorry, but I absolutely question the objectivity and credentials of this bunch.

My general opinion happens to be fairly aligned with the experts; those that spend a lifetime studying presidential policy and results. No one decides for me.

You, and your ret hat wearing friends, on the other lack the grey matter to think for their own and research issues.

Case in point:

1 China does not pay the tariffs … business and consumers do.

2. The wars in Ukraine and Gaza were not going to end on day one of the new administration

3. Zelensky did not start the war with Russia

4. His first administration was not the greatest economy ever

Demographics have shown that the most uneducated states and those without higher education supported the draft dodging felon and rapist. The educated and intelligent did not.

But in your defense, I'll say that emotional stability has never been the strong suit of the political left.

I congratulate you for having views that align so closely with the mainstream media's narrative; however, I think we can both agree that, by definition, this doesn't make one an "independent thinker."

I would only posit one question: why are so many people and businesses running away from deep-blue progressive utopias after they had voted for these platforms?

Thank you for validating my point.

Literally with research of five minutes you would learn that the most populous state is California, and that will not change anytime soon. A third larger than Texas and 2X Florida. Three of the top 10 - BLYE, the - RED and four go back and forth.

More importantly, GDP per capita is much higher in BLUE states. eight of the top 10 are BLUE states. And the lowest? Nine of the top 10 are RED.

Please educate yourself.

Dude you are really ignorant.

GDP per capita you moron. India GDP per capita is about $2000; California and NY are over $100,000. TX and FL about $80k.

The wealth of this country is BLUE states you half wit. If fact, federal taxes paid by those of us in CA and NY subsidize the deadbeats in the Mason Dixon states.
