What are you most interested in finding out about this team, other than who will start at QB?

For me:

I'm interested in news on the WR group, hoping to hear good things about Cam Williams and Micah Gilbert. Hopefully some freshman put some pressure on them that makes them take big steps.

I'm also interested in the battle to fill the shoes of Watts. They brought in a safety, and they apparently have some talented young players as well. Should be a great competition to see who will fill out the safety rotation.

Very interested in seeing how / if Coach Ash can maintain the mojo on a talented defense.

I feel he's probably the one of the biggest question marks going into the season.

I don't mean that as a negative. I just don't know what to expect with him. I hope Coach Ash continues the string of really good ND DC's and is very successful here. I agree with Irishslovak that Golden will be missed. He was really good. In fact, I thought both Golden and Clark Lea did a real good job game planning and making in game adjustments. Ash certainly has a lot of experience on the defense side of the ball. Not sure why I'm apprehensive about him, but I hope he does great. I wonder if the general scheme of the defense will be the same or will Ash somehow have to put his stamp on it? In any event, excited for the season and really haven't felt this optimistic about the state of the program and the great direction it's heading in quite a long, long time.....probably going back to Holtz days. Gotta give Marcus a ton of credit.

Always the QB. With a lot of high ceiling depth almost everywhere the Kicking game is the other

concern. Can ND get big time consistency on that part of Special Teams play.

Of concern is the new DC. He has athletes everywhere on D but does he let them excel in his schemes?

The kicking game seems like a huge question mark.

Not a lot of true battles outside QB, some o-line spots, safety opposite Shuler (look out for Johnson), and WR outside Greathouse and Fields.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

I thought Cam Williams looked like Randy Moss in his HS tape.

I think this team is very talented and there's guys like Minich and Talich that not a lot of people talk about that are ready to shine.

I'm kind of thinking Tae Johnson for Watt's replacement because he's so athletic.

The transfer WRs, a healthy Raridon, Flanigan, that's what I'm most excited to see.
