word is out on a Friday well in advance of 2025 season start. The NCAA is truly pathetic.

Michigan has been maybe the one school that has been caught cheating more than any other...certainly in the top 5 of all time. That is what it means to be a "Michigan Man". It is led by an athletic dept. and coaches who for 130 years have searched for ways to win in any fashion other than beating your opponent because you play the game better. They slink away into the dark more than any other program and deserve...and generally get....no respect from other schools and coaches. This is all documented in history and undeniable facts. I would prefer if Notre Dame were ever forced to join a football conference, that they choose any one that does not include Michigan.

Didn’t want to punish the current kids for sins of the past. There’s the blueprint.

Even if guilty, stall so that punishment gets watered down.

NCAA got what they wanted out of it......a good chunk of cash. Their interests were met.

That seems the be the de facto statement from the most guilty folks these days.

If someone puts more pressure on them, I'm sure they'll say "I can't breeve!"

In all seriousness, though, Michigan did the shrewd thing by lawyering up and fighting all the way.

We made the mistake of trying to be the nice guys who go along to get along during the academic scandal witch hunt.

The NCAA is a eunuch and has been for a long time…which Notre Dame was the last ones to recognize…

That will put the fear of God in other programs looking to cheat

It's a complete joke. We don't want to punish the current student athletes for what the prior coaches did. Screw that. If you want to stop it, you need to impose penalties for the current and subsequent seasons. When teams have mass portal losses due to penalties, that will discourage teams from cheating.

They have been a joke for years. Oregon caught paying players and..nothing. Then they slap sanctions on Penn State for Sandusky only to withdraw the scholarship penalties after eighteen months. Honestly I am surprised that Michigan got any punishment at all.

Yep. The lesson is fight don't accept responsibility. Let's get those vacated wins back.

That's the crazy part. ND's record was affected, but not Kelly's. His record reflects all his wins

NCAA's lawyer is an ND man. Maybe if he had gone to law school there, he'd have some integrity,
