"Canes can score". What's this based on? Cam Ward is in the NFL and this isn't Wake Forests D.
Whether they can score or not is a complete question mark this year and scoring on ND's D is an entirely different animal, even for really good offenses.

Yes the offense has been rebuilt. Their receivers are indeed a question mark. Their OL should be very good. Their running backs are good. Beck is not chopped liver. I expect they will have a good offense.

Beck is also coming off shoulder surgery plus he missed all of Spring practice. We saw first hand how that affected Riley Leonard at the start of last season.
Hopefully it’ll affect Beck as well (at least the 1st game of the year).
Thinking they might have a good O and saying "Canes can score" are 2 totally different things.
Cam Ward isn't walking thru that door and he was their entire offense last year. And Beck is no Cam Ward. Just a really good pocket passer that doesn't like pressure or getting hit, which he's going to get a lot of on the 31st.
