The SEC moving to 9 conference games next year is good for ND.

Sankey also added that each program has to schedule at least 1 power 4 non-conference game, every season.

That all but cements ND future series with Alabama, Florida, ect. I expect Auburn to get a call very soon.

It also calls the B10 out. The 5+11 model will benefit those with higher SOS. The B10's bullshit schedules will cost them dearly.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

I saw this. Trying to strengthen out of conference. Makes USC look really bad if they drop us

That is a good point, but I still expect them to weasel out of this tradition.

The position they had relative to the rest of their conference in the PAC 10 era is gone. Then they typically had two tough conference games in a given year. With the recreation of the Big Ten, they face perhaps four tough games a year, given the new travel situation from LA for them. They find themselves in an uncomfortably competitive environment, and will dump us to try to minimize tough OOC games.

It’s too bad. Hating that entitled, media-darling program was one of the real, solid things you could build a meaningful life around. I will be sad when it is gone.

when they get a good, solid taste of minnesota, wisconsin, ohio, illinois, and michigan winter games, they will opt for independence. wouldn't that be fun?
