In your opinion, what are the biggest question marks going into this season?

These are mine:

1) QB play - This is obvious as we will be starting a young QB in CJ Carr with very limited college game experience compared to past seasons playing QB's with a lot of starting experience. If the reports are correct, CJ is supposed to be the real deal. We will find out soon. Hopefully, he can stretch the field with the deep ball because that is something ND has lacked a bit over the years. He just needs to protect the ball and not try to do too much.

2) Chris Ash - He's probably not who any of us expected to be the DC. The defensive side of the ball has a lot of talent though. To be honest, I don't know enough about Chris Ash as to know how he is from a game planning and making in-game adjustments. I believe Irishslovak pointed it out a while back, but Golden was really good and probably contributed to ND winning a few close games with his play calls/schemes and will be missed in my opinion. In fact, both Golden and Clark Lea were very good with making in-game adjustments. I hope Ash is very successful at ND, but again, don't know too much about him and he's jumped around various places a lot.

3) WR play - It feels like the position is much more talented these days. Obviously, this also ties into the QB play in #1 above. I'm hoping to see the ND passing game take some big leaps forward.

4) Field goal kicker - Over the years, field goal kicking is always a nail biter due to the inconsistencies of the kickers. Hopefully, this year is better.

Excited for the season. Go ND!!!!

QB & DL. DL has been a glaring weakness for years. We need a lot more pressure and some studs to

step up. Last year, the youth looked better than the starters. Hope that trend continues.

QB + O-Line. Line is talented but looked better on stat-sheet than film last year.

RL bailed them out often. There's a reason Angeli got sacked twice on his Penn State FG drive.

Same. That's a lot of change YOY so hopefully we step up to the adversity of the early schedule.

Agree with all. I would add DLine play.

The key to slowing down Miami is to be effective in rushing the passer. As Jamie U said in a podcast yesterday, Beck is excellent when given time to throw but trash when rushed.

This. Although I'd say interior DL, ends are and should be elite.

Fully agree. Field goal kicking may prove to be the biggest one.
