Joe Alt named a captain for the Chargers
It's highly unusual to get named a captain as a 2nd year player, but given how he does his job, and does so without any trouble, I can safely say that he deserves it.
They're moving him from RT to LT, since Slater is out for the year. I think he'll do even better this year, since that's his natural position.
