Was at the ND Whitehall Club picnic when he was a HS player in Bethlehem. He sat at the table with
Bolcar and Watters. They seemed to hit it off. ND didnt get The Rock (obviously) nor Sean Love from Tamaqua (PSU) who was also there.
I forgot he wound up at HS in Bethlehem. Good recollection!

There was some special on ESPN I believe that talked about The Rock's life,
They were talking about his recruitment when he was playing for Bethlehem Freedom HS. They said Miami coach Dennis Erickson shows up at The Rock's house in Bethlehem and had to wait like an hour because The Rock was weightlifting. It's too bad that back injuries really derailed his football career.
I once met Jarious Jackson at the local PJ Whelihan's in Allentown. He was in town to speak at a local Irish fan club up in the Lehighton/Tamaqua area. A guy that I knew as more of an acquaintance picked him up at Lehigh Valley Airport and then took him to get a bite at PJ's. They were leaving PJ's as I was walking in. I got introduced to Jarious. I thought the other dude was messing with me and when he said why Jarious was there, it all made sense, plus he showed me his gold chain and jersey number on the gold chain. Jarious was a very nice guy. That was a long time ago.
Whitehall. Lehighton/Tamaqua and Schuylkill ND Clubs always brought in players as guests for the
various picnics and dunners. Local Lad Ned Bolcar still attends all of the functions.
Isn't he one of the guys who owes his acting career to China? He and his buddy John Cena?
