I felt last year it was so overhyped. Why the good ground yards? Because we had good RBs and q fleet QB.
Last night, the guards looked like 2 -3 lost fat kids when asked to pass block. The T's...JMJ. Teach them to keep eyes open on pass blocking. Look less dizzy.
We must run on 2nd and 2 every time....behind the overhypes.
Have great seats in 2 weeks. A must. And we must come onto the field like recently fired altar boys....savage mental condition.
1. It was a bad spot. New guys or guys coming off injury in a hostile environment is not ideal.
2. Game plan didn’t help them. We never loosened up the defense until late. Never gave them any opportunity to just man on man block. Anything in the pass attack with any depth was on obvious passing downs. No play action.
3. Jag being out hurts. Lambert playing out of position for his first start hurts.
4. Not giving your stud RB enough looks to break off a big run.
I anticipate moving forward a more open offense with a commitment to a run game.
The only person who played at least like he knew what he was doing was Ashton Craig.
The rest looked like they didn't know their assignments most of the time.
At the very least last year, they could run block. Everyone on the OL looked like they took a step back from last year, and had no fire to go hit someone. We have a coach who preaches choose violence. Miami did, ND did not.
The only good thing I can take from this game is that it was game 1, with Carr in his first start, on the road, in shitty weather, gave the ball away inside the 30 twice, and still only lost by 3.
ND was the better team, but they certainly didn't play like it.
Knapp is a G, not a T. Jagusah should slot in at LT when he's health, Knapp to RG for Lambert.
I think that will help a LOT.

Carr had zero chance to set up and pass at the most critical point in game. With 1:08 to go, that was adequate time to get in fg position. O-line crashed and burned.
