Miami got pretty lucky

And that does count. But that pass for the TD would have been intercepted or knocked down 9 of 10 times. Miami got a lucky interception. And they hit a long FG. ND should not have been favored . Vegas knew that by throwing out the 2 1/2 line with ND as a favorite.Beck was 24-3 vs a kid making start #1. Discouraging was the play on both lines for ND. Usually when the Irish get beat, that team has a big year. Would not be shocked to see Miami win 10 games or so. Its hard to get things worked out in a game of that magnitude, in game 1 playing at Miami. Now, we might have to figure out how to go 10 and 1 the rest of the way to get a playoff spot.

I agree no more losses ND pretty much in control of destiny but likely loses bye.

A win here and a strong Miami season would have given buffer for a couple of losses this year.

ND got lucky to make the score look good when O and D lines were both crap

bad Ash and Denbrock coached but the puny dline ad it's lack of pressure along with a please don't squeeze the Charmin oline were the main reasons for the loss.

I guess we aren't a line driven team anymore. Except for Traore, every player on both lines was weak. Where oh where was Young btw? Oh, and Knapp looked like, oh I dunno.

If you have to blame coaches, Washington and Rudolph should be at the top of the heap.

Didn't think Traore looked that great either.

Craig performed very well, and Lambert flashed on a few plays

I could be wrong, but Young was going against Miami's AA tackle

He needs to get bigger as well, he looked skinny out there.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

He put on good weight in the offseason, to me it looked like it slowed him down a tad.

His quickness and athleticism is what makes him unique for such a big kid, don't want to take that away.

Agree, the DL looked like they were on roller skates, 2 yds off the LOS when the RB hit the hole.
