Rewatched the first half and Miami played straight up most of time, except for short yardage.
1st & 2nd series 6 men in the box. 3rd & 4th series they brought a 7th man up a couple times, still not "stacking the box". 5th series they went to 7 & 8 in the box AFTER Price gashed em a couple times and still got gashed by Price's long run.
This BS line that ND had to pass because Miami stacked the box is just that, BS.
Denbrock went all Brian Kelly and outsmarted himself again, end of story. He planned for Miami trying to stop the run first and foremost (as most did, myself included) and had nothing when they didn't. Brian Kelly would be proud.
MF can talk all he wants about wanting to be a physical downhill rushing team but it's just lip service.

Kelly always leaned heavily on the run game when he had a first year QB. They did not do that Sunday night. It looked more like a second year starter game plan where they like to put too much on the QB, even though I don't think they put that much on him really.
that stands out.
In that way I agree, it felt like one of those BK games. The game started and the whole time I'm just thinking what are we doing? It was a very BK years feeling.
