playbook" or "give him some easy throw options to give him confidence" or crap like that. If he's not ready don't put him out there! He's gonna have the yips no matter what and he's gonna bang his head no matter what. Why in the heck would you sacrifice an entire game plan just to make your QB comfortable but keep your possible Heisman candidate essentially on the bench? Let CJ play. He's smart, he's competitive, he's capable. If / when he bangs his head, switch QBs for a series or two and let him calm down. Other teams, other coaches do this all the time.I hope Denbrock takes the training wheels off CJ over the next two weeks and feeds him ALOT more playbook. Cut his butt loose.
