ND lost the middle of its defense.
Mills & Cross on the D - line, Kizer at LB & Watts at Safety. That's a lot of talent and leadership to make up. Now you have a new D - coordinator. This might take some time even though they pretty well against Miami. Only giving up 3 points on 2 turnovers is definitely a positive.

Our talent is better but we lost our experience
We could end up being 0-2 and end up by year end being a better team as the team learns.
