Some talk of Bowen having a bad day. Wonder if all the alignment and confusion

Kept him from being able to let it fly and play.

Seemed like alignment issues in first half especially

He's the best LB by a country mile.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame
Invincibility with no vulnerability

I'd also have Ausberry in on running downs and Sneed on likely passing downs. I was hoping Sneed would be the next Jaylon Smith but in 3 years and 1 game...still not clicking. Like him rushing the QB

100% - and he's all over the place and in on every tackle. That the energy that's needed.

Good play calling by Miami. The slot receiver was a bad match up for us. And we never decided to say “screw it” we are going to force the issue and if we give up 50 we give up 50.

Our LB’s with a light DL are going to be more effective playing downhill.

Really miss Jack Kiser on defense.

^^^^^^^ plus Watts. Their passion and leadership is missing and blatantly noticeable.

Absolutely agree, everyone on D seemed to be hesitant and thinking too much.

Many DC's get caught up in making things too complicated. Golden did it his first year at ND and they were dead last in red zone defense because of it. They fixed it and the D took off.

Hopefully Ash and Freeman see that on tape and get him and the lads playing fast again. Too much experienced talent to not be playing fast and flying around.
