As an OLD friend used to say: "That coach has forgotten more than I'll ever know", but then would add, "But since I don't know sh$t, and never have or will, about football - that's not much of a bar to clear!" Could this be directed at anyone we know - especially with what they're getting paid?
But sometimes, it seems like the coaches know too much. Making it simple and letting the physical assets of the players get the job done, sometimes seems to be the answer. But what do I know?
Arkansas, Texas, OSU, Wisconsin, Rutgers HC. You think he had them all fooled? ND does have a HC who has the ability to tell our DC whatever you're doing, stop doing it, but, MF apparently did nothing and he's a former DC. Same with offense. He had to approve the game plans on both sides of the ball. The zone days are largely over imho and I think you will see a more aggressive defense along with a steady dose of Love and Price. If you're not talking about Coach Ash, then disregard my comments.
an hombre but he was no match for that 1st round monster Miami had at right guard. That is just one example. There were more than a few "new faces"....
Not only kept it close, but could have won the damn thing. So, what does that really say about Miami ?
