Ash is a major letdown but Freeman should get a lot of blame.

A lot of head coaches call plays. Freeman is a defensive minded coach. Can't he see that Ash's scheme was not working? After the first quarter or so, he could have stepped in and done something about it, like dictate defensive plays or even called them himself.

He did nothing, despite having been a successful DC. That's the part I don't understand.

I sense Freeman is "Head Coach" in name only

But when his coordinators have their head up their asses, he is clueless and/or spineless in how to right the ship.

That's not a true head coach.

There's a lot of pre-snap confusion on D.

And the zone is absolute trash.

This isn't an Ash problem, it's a MF problem.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame
Invincibility with no vulnerability

If D failed to execute the scheme they’ve practiced for 2 weeks, why wd something else fare better?

Or so Freeman might think.

Imposing corporate abuse, neglect and greed on deserving victims.
