Speed kills.

I don't bet ND games but I didn't think this was a good match up. A & M was running away from guys. Fields is a great target but ND needs way more speed at receiver. Carr needs more playmakers to take advantage of his passing ability.

Fields is well-rounded T&F athlete. Faison, KK Smith, Cam, Saldate, Richardson have great speed...

Fields is a 43ft triple jumper, 21ft long jumper, 6.7 55m, state champ in the indoor 500m, at his size...he's a great all-around athlete. There's plenty of speed on this team, the offense needs to find a way to get them involved easily. Hate always hearing guys need to learn the offense. Some guys learn better in-game and great coaches understand that and adjust. Give em shots and see what happens.

Fields isn't Jayden Thomas, he can run with any of ND's guys and Pauling, Faison, Smith,

Gilbert and Greathouse can run. Appears to me that they still don't trust the Oline enough yet to take deep shots with any of the WR's on the roster.

You're right though, it has to be remedied.

Carr needs way more downfield routes. Long speed means squat on a 5yd route.

They're a mess too.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

My thought is if they start taking shots, things will open up.

Back those LB's and safeties up, the run game will improve. It will be more difficult to disguise pressures.

If it doesn't work. We'll, at least we tried instead of curling up in the fetal position and waiting for another loss.

Of course not, gotta fix one before you can fix the other.

Fortunately, there is talent there to fix both.

Throw to Greathouse and Faison, NOT Raridon and Fields. It's really that easy.

Yep, especially Greathouse. Where has he been in the plan?
