Tae Johnson played the most defensive snaps just behind Moore and Gray
I think Stroman was benched after that big pass play when Gray was injured.

Correct on all counts, Tae is going to be the next first team AA safety at ND.
Bowen is an excellent MLB, but he isn't KVA. He'll shine against Navy and strong downhill running teams
Hard to believe neither Golden nor Zackery are ready yet, CB is a position where freshmen can make an impact. Unless of course the DC has them thinking too much. Gotta get Hobbs' confidence back as well.
That is the disadvantage of not playing patsies the first few games. The younger players don't get
the opportunities. Coaches tend to want to stick with the experienced guys in hopes it limits first game jitters and mental errors.
If we were playing Purdue game one, I think those guys would show out and by the time we played the ranked teams later in the season they would be starting. I would throw in the freshmen DBs like Zachary over Hobbs. They have picked on Hobbs so far.
