First nooner game I've been jacked about so far this year.
Go Fightin' Angeli's!!!

Mistake to run off Angeli.
At 0-2 we are paying for it. It’s very clear he was ready to take over and we would have avoided babysitting, Soph mistakes and confidence.
Angeli is good enough to start for us, we didn't run him off, he didn't perform well enough in the Spring to 'lock up' the starting spot, coaches were honest with him about that, he bet on himself and got paid to go somewhere he was likely promised starting spot, AND Carr is not the reason we're 0-2
Angeli is doing great, good for him! I wish he had stayed, but he didn't. He wasn't run off, he made a choice, move on.

You must be watching a different team?
Very well could be 1-1 or even 2-0.
Stupid shorten the game bullshit
Although Clemson really sucks.
All he did every time he played was play at a high level. Yet for some reason, people here think he had a "low ceiling." The only flaw in his game was not feeling the rush pressure and taking sacks. And coaches misjudge players' abilities all the time, so I don't want to hear coaches always know their players.
I will not be surprised in the least if he has a great season and winds up on an NFL roster some day.
One we passed on.

He left on his own. He could have stayed.
Freeman et al, didn't decide the starting qb out of spring camp. By most accounts, Angeli was told he was, at best, #2 on the depth chart, neither as good a runner as Minchey nor as good a passer as Carr. Coaches make decisions all the time re: playing time. It is tough when you play the one position (except maybe the kicker/punter and long snapper) where only one guy gets to play. So he read the room, saw his competition face-to-face, heard what the coaches had to say and he made a decision to leave.
Yes, Angeli has put up good numbers against the likes of UConn and Colgate. But let's face it: Colgate/UConn ain't exactly Miami or A&M. Note: And we didn't lose either of our games because of qb play. And Syracuse won't play as good a team as either of them until they play Miami in November. As I remember there were folks saying similar things about Buchner and Jurkovec as they are about Angeli.
Time will tell if Angeli turns out to be a NFL draft pick or just another guy who did a good job at what he loves to do. I wish him luck.
Check out Clemson game.
If you re-read my post, you will notice that I wrote that Syracuse wouldn't play anyone as good as Miami/A&M until they play Miami.
Clemson is a .500 team, not that it diminishes Angeli's success at all. Fact remains he left of his own accord. We'll never know what he might have done at ND and I don't worry about it.

Without a lucky bounce, it's likely that we'd have had an all BIG NC game.
I liked Angeli, but he hasn't appeared to outgrow that tendency, with 8 sacks in his first 2 games. I wouldn't be surprised if he took a few more.
CJ Carr has been close to excellent through 2 weeks.

We don't know how the game would have played out if he hadn't.

You know them better than the coaches?
So on-brand.
he know who you are? The nerve!
