This week's update:
Nothing earth shattering, especially with Steve Angeli not working his magic out there.
I had forgotten about Lorenzo Styles still being at Ohio State. He has actually been putting up a decent season as their starting nickel back.
As always, if I missed anyone, please feel free to chip in some info.
Thanks.
Offensive MVP:
Rico Flores (UCLA) for finally recording some stats. I didn't know if he were going to play this year, after last year's ACL injury that shut him down for most of the season.
Defensive MVP:
Lorenzo Styles (tOSU) for a pretty good game.
QB Steve Angeli, SYR - Successful surgery on his torn Achilles tendon. Long recovery ahead, but with the excellent medical staff available to him, he'll be in great hands.
QB Drew Pyne, BGSU - Played against Ohio (Bobcats). 19 of 29 passing for 190 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT, rushed 8 times for -10 yards. Sacked 5 times, and was looking gimpy at the end.
WR Deion Colzie, MIA (OH) - NSR vs Lindenwood (Lions). I think he was out there for some special teams.
OL Ty Chan, CONN - Started at OT vs Buffalo
NB Lorenzo Styles, tOSU - Started against Washington at nickel back, 4 tackles (3 solo)
C Pat Coogan, IND - Started at C against Iowa
TE Holden Staes, IND, Played against Iowa, NSR
OL Joey Tanona, Purdue - NSR (bye)
WR Rico Flores, UCLA - Played against Northwestern, 4 receptions for 43 yards.
OL Rocco Spindler, NEB - Bye
S Kennedy Urlacher, USC - Played against Illinois, 3 tackles (2 solo)
DL Tyson Ford, CAL - NSR vs Boston College, didn't play.
DL Aidan Keanaaina, CAL - Played against Boston College, 2 tackles
WR Jayden Thomas, UVA - Played against Florida State, NSR
RB Micah Bell, UGA - NSR vs Alabama, didn't play.
OL Sam Pendleton, TENN - Started at C against Mississippi State. Had the highest PFF grade out of the TN linemen at 68.7.
RB Logan Diggs, MISS - Played against LSU, 2 rushes for 8 yards, and the go-ahead TD, 1 reception for -1 yards.
WR Braylon James, TCU - NSR vs Arizona State, didn't play. Hasn't suited up all year.
WR Tobias Merriweather, UTAH - Played against West Virginia, 1 reception for 8 yards.
CB Jaden Mickey, BSU - Played against Appalachian State, 2 tackles, 1 PBU
K Zac Yoakam, HOU - Played against Oregon State, handled kickoffs
DL Aiden Gobiara, JMU - Played against Georgia Southern, 2 tackles (1 solo), 1 TFL
CB Ryan Barnes, UMass - NSR, DNP

Lorenzo Styles - high 4 star WR, showed some flashes of greatness in 2021, didn't get a chance to show his stuff with terrible QB play in 2022
Rico Flores - low to mid 4 star, showed excellent promise in 2023 (27 receptions, 392 yards)
Braylon James - mid to high 4 star
Tobias Merriweather - mid to high 4 star, showed some promise in 2023 (14 receptions, 284 yards)
Jayden Thomas - high 3 star, been a good WR3 for us throughout the years
I figured that with that much talent, someone should have made a notable impact by now, especially if they got better coaching from a competent WR coach (Alexander and Stuckey were terrible).
The only who has done anything of note is Styles, but he's doing it as a defensive back.
