belongs with the big boys and although we lost our two big games to start the season, last year showed that if given the chance... we could beat anybody. The narrative is no longer ND is overrated and undeserving, but rather ND had close losses by a total of 4 points against (potential) playoff teams starting a (redshirt) freshman QB. (well that's my narrative at least)
If you look at the teams ahead of us now and their remaining schedules, I counted about 13 minimum that will have 2 or more losses. That’s not even counting those that will have some major upsets. If ND wins out they’ll be in. If they keep winning like they are, they’ll probably be top 7.
Will have to do better than that
Go look at future schedules. It takes about 5 minutes. There are tons of losses coming for the teams ahead of ND when ND (hopefully) will be stacking wins.
Have difficult schedules. Why did we only move up one spot? Did you refute that and I missed it? There was zero respect for the fact we won by 43.
Anyone discussing plkayoff berths, with almost 70% of the seasoon to go, is a moron.
With few exceptions, most teams have tough games at some point left on their schedule.
Notre Dame needs to just focus on the NEXT game, and let things play out.
To get angst ridden at this stage of the season because some writer, with nothing else to write about, decides ND can't make the playoffs with a 10-2 record is a complete waste of time.
