6. Stand and watch USC stroll leisurely down the field for a TD on their opening drive.
How many would have expected an Irish victory by 10? Not sure what the final spread was but it was 10.5 early in the morning with smart money seemingly ready to drive it down before kickoff.
Those SoCal kids have a lot of talent and speed but not a penchant to fight it out in a brawl. Those Catholic kids chose hard...and stuck with it.

We could have lost this game
But we didn’t. And I agree with your points. We just didn’t give up.
That first SC drive was penalty aided IMHO. In fact, penalties helped SC the whole game.
This is getting to be a weekly thing. I'm not going to rewatch the game but I just wonder how many of our penalties were actually warranted and how many SC no calls there were.
