Rocco Spindler out for the season

Prayers to Mr. Spindler for a swift and full recovery. He may be a Cornhusker now, but he will always be one of us for life.

He left Saturday's game early with a broken hand and finger, but the break was quite severe, to the point where he had to be rushed to the hospital.

If it were a simple break, I could see their putting a hard cast on his arm, but this had to be much more than just a simple break, to the point where more than a Procaine shot and a wrapping was needed.

When you combine the loss of Spindler, along with their starting LT being ejected for targeting, that explains how the offensive line, which was one of the better ones in the Big 10, ended up stinking up the field to the tune of 9 sacks.

They'll get their LT back for the next game, but losing Spindler takes away their best lineman.

Unfortunate for him. Sorry to see him go. How the heck does a LT get tossed for targeting?

Defender was on the ground and the guy jumped on him with the crown of his helmet. Total idiot.
