on Amazon Prime and I just watched Joe Alt on the first three consecutive plays that I saw, absolutely blow out the guy he was blocking. Herbstreit later commented how the Chargers line is so much better with him leading the way.

They were without both of their starting tackles, and all three interior linemen (guards and center) are banged up.
Joe Alt isn't 100% either. He was listed as questionable for the last game, but still gutted it out, showing that even when he's at less than optimal health, he's still better than almost any other lineman.
There were some plays where the LG and C screwed up their blocking assignments, and Alt had to take on two guys by himself.

There's only one offensive lineman (whether it be T, G, or C) in the league who is better than Joe Alt is right now, and I'm actually OK with that, since it's Quenton Nelson.
It goes to show that 2021's sudden stabilization of what was a very shaky offensive line was because of Joe Alt stepping in as a true freshman, and playing like a polished 5th year senior.
As long as he stays healthy, he's going to finish his career with Hall of Fame credentials. That won't be for a very long time, though, since he's only 22 years old.
