Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. But Deion Sanders just got a contract extension and there's nary a peep about hot seat or firing.
Both are in the same $10M salary range, yet BK has won many more games and against much better competition. I'd submit that Coach Prime has a total of 1 decent win to his credit in 3 years and has gotten smoked by the good teams they've played.
Just an observation.

I don’t like the guy at all. But to try to make it some sort of DEI thing, like people in this thread have done, is absurd.
Colorado was a perennial national title contending program and as corrupt as they came to achieve that status. They aren't spending $10M a year to get publicity they could get for a fraction of that.
They're paying a guy to build a program and win football games and he's failed miserably, with no sign of light at the end of the tunnel. Yet not a peep of hot seat talk from Boulder or anywhere else.
And year 3 is typically a prove it year where guys that are going to have success, have some success.
I’m not defending Deion. He symbolizes everything that’s wrong with the sport.
But comparing his situation to Kelly’s is asinine.
As the saying goes "Intelligent people speak when they have something to say, stupid people speak when they feel they have to say something".

Colorado loves the attention Deion provides the school. It's a win for them regardless of his W-L record.
LSU demands national titles.
some hype isn't who they are or want to be. They want Bill McCarthy level results and are getting Gerry Faust level results, yet zero blow back from them or the media.
Makes zero sense.
Back in the 80's and 90's, maybe even up to the early 2000's, the University of Colorado had a much bigger football culture, and was constantly challenging for top 10 positioning.
Once Gary Barnett was gone, they hit a major slump and haven't shown any signs of climbing out of it, aside from a fluke year by Mike McIntyre, and a few flamboyant moments from Deion Sanders.
Right now, the Colorado faithful are actually accepting of Deion Sanders' performance, where last year's decent season (where they had the best player in all of college football) were the equivalent of a gift handed to them by God.
Also, he's actually hung in there against some of the tougher teams (Georgia Tech, BYU were by 1 score).
He actually keeps that spark of hope alive, and has improved the "home grown" recruiting by a good bit.
digging up the $50 M. Brian has to to be thinking get me outta here and on the beach I’ll agree to less….
hired Sanders. You're confusing those that live in Breckenridge year round with those that power the athletic department.
