Another relatively quiet week, more of our former lads are dealing with injuries.


Offensive MVP: Pat Coogan, for his mashing performance against a hapless UCLA. The Bruins looked completely drained by the middle of 2Q.

Honorable Mentions: Rico Flores for not giving up during the above thrashing, and Rocco Spindler for toughing out what is a very, very painful injury to his finger.


Defensive MVP: Aidan Keanaaina for his solid performance, getting the better of the VT guard for most of the game.



Stats:

QB Drew Pyne, BGSU - NSR, DNP vs Kent State. Still dealing with that significant ankle injury.

WR Deion Colzie, MIA (OH) - Played against Western Michigan, 1 reception for 14 yards.

OL Ty Chan, CONN - Started at OT against Rice.

NB Lorenzo Styles, tOSU - NSR (bye)

C Pat Coogan, IND - Started at C vs UCLA. Utterly destroyed their nose tackle.

TE Holden Staes, IND - Played against UCLA, NSR. Used mostly as a blocker, and on special teams.

OL Joey Tanona, Purdue - Started at LT against Rutgers, much better week than last week (he was the lowest graded OL last week), and didn't allow a sack.

WR Rico Flores, UCLA - Played against Indiana, 4 receptions for 50 yards.

OL Rocco Spindler, NEB - Started at RG vs Northwestern, despite last week's really bad break of his index finger. Hand was taped up. Didn't allow a sack, cleared the way for several tough runs.

S Kennedy Urlacher, USC - NSR (bye)

DL Tyson Ford, CAL - Played against Virginia Tech as a backup, 1 tackle.

DL Aidan Keanaaina, CAL - Started at DT against Virginia Tech, 5 tackles

WR Jayden Thomas, UVA - Played against North Carolina, 1 reception for 6 yards.

RB Micah Bell, UGA - NSR (bye)

OL Sam Pendleton, TENN - Started at C vs Kentucky, relieved at times by the 2nd string C. Didn't have his best game. Apparently, he rolled his ankle a few weeks ago, and it's been really tender / sore.

RB Logan Diggs, MISS - Played against Oklahoma, NSR.

WR Braylon James, TCU - NSR, DNP vs West Virginia. Hasn't logged any playing time this year, buried in the depth chart.

WR Tobias Merriweather, UTAH - NSR, DNP vs Colorado. He's considered week to week with an undisclosed injury from a couple weeks ago.

CB Jaden Mickey, BSU - Started against Nevada, but shifted to nickel back. 2 tackles. Looked solid in coverage.

K Zac Yoakam, HOU - Played against Arizona State, handled kickoffs

DL Aiden Gobiara, JMU - NSR (bye)

CB Ryan Barnes, UMass - NSR, DNP vs Central Michigan, due to another recent injury.
