doesn't understand how the game is played today.

How fitting: Brian Kelly being told he doesn't know how to play football the right way. Perfect ending!

I read some comments from LSU fans and it’s funny to hear what we had been saying for years. He’s

stubborn, set in his ways, he’s phony, thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room, doesn’t fully embrace the university or its culture, blames others, doesn’t appear to be real close with the players, he thought if Les Miles and Ed Orgeron could win national titles at LSU that could win 6.

I personally feel that Kelly leaving ND was the best thing to happen to ND. He’s a pompous ass and only cares about himself. It was great riddance.

When Kelly was hired at ND, I had pegged him for exactly what he has proven to be as a person. He seems to lack a very basic understanding of leadership and his behavior under pressure while at Cincy was a total failure on virtually every occasion that I witnessed. I did not want him anywhere near the program, but he got hired as he was an upgrade in ability to create a better program than Charlie Weis. Yet, I wondered.

What he did at LSU from the start seemed to me to raise many red flags for a failure alert. He became the man he wanted to be....and one no one liked or respected.

It is hard to imagine that any BCS school would hire him again as their head coach after creating two massive failures to two fan bases of elite programs.

Where he goes from here and if he can evolve into a respectful human will be interesting to follow

There is no comparison between what he didn’t do at LSU and what he did at ND

no comparison whatsoever. Not defending him but he accomplished far more at ND; it’s quite obvious. Clearly a much shorter leash at LSU. Would he have made it to the CFP twice and the NC once? Maybe/maybe not. Clearly LSU had no interest in waiting.

Agree. He was a decent coach, his downfall was due to his being stubborn. He did get us relatively

three times with teams we could be proud of, but there was a big difference between the vey best and us in those three years. Marcus is clearly getting us more talented players, even at the skill positions.
