How bad is his injury? Seeing a lot of unsubstantiated transfer rumors out there.
Then he will likely transfer.
You don't go from questionable to out during a bye week.
(no message)
He obviously won't be game ready anytime soon, by the looks of it, so why not red shirt? He can still play in the playoffs and keep the extra year.
As for transferring, I have no idea. He was offered big NIL to leave after last season, but stayed. I hope he stays and finally contributes consistently.
burn his third season of eligibility.
Hmmm.
Mike Berardino
It’s easy to guess he’s transferring but I can’t fathom the coaching staff would keep him on the sidelines if that were the case. Mickey was literally in the stands 4 days after his announcement. If I’m not mistaken, JG hosted some recruits a few weeks ago as well.
In a thread below, I said I thought it smelled transfer, but I now realize that it's not the case. You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned he was still on the sidelines.
He has to weigh future playing time and NIL once the season ends.
in? And JG wasn't? JG's injury coincided with Pauling having some breakout games; does that matter? If JG were healthy, would he start in front of Pauling? Would he get more snaps and targets? Is JG a team player or do these kinds of questions nag at him? Don't know. But I'm curious.
His work ethic, passion, and intensity inspired the other players.
He's an extremely unselfish guy, and never bitches and complains when asked to do grunt work (run blocking, etc).
This isn't to say that Jaden Greathouse doesn't have those qualities, but rather that Pauling simply brings "it" to the locker room.
The players saw this first hand, and he commands respect from them without demanding it.
