The playoff committee has shown every year that they pay attention to the games and not the other polls. The teams will be similar as a good team is a good team in every poll. But, there are going to be differences in how the order stacks up. If the committee recognizes that ND 's two losses were early and by 4 pts total to two top ten teams, then there is a good chance that ND will be in the top 10. Then they would just need to take care of business in a dominant fashion to get into the playoffs, (very much like last year).
However, if ND is not in the top 12 on Tuesday, that's when the worry should begin. It would mean the committee doesn't value enough ND's performance since those two opening losses. And, as it's been pointed out, there will be few opportunities to impress the committee going forward.

schedule. You have to hope and pray Miami and A&M win out, USC wins out and our remaining 5 opponents win out except for us.
The great thing is that the committee will let us know each week what went into their polling. We will know how much they ding us for the two losses, and how much they give us credit for how close they were, and how much credit we get for playing well now. We will also know going forward what our schedule will do for or against us.
