Had the privilege of being in the BC VIP room for the game/Shea room I think they call it. Eat for eats galore.
Prior to kickoff, Jack Bicknell's former asst. was talking and he saw my ND sweater. I had met him before on the links.
"YOU KNOW ND WON'T COVER THE SPREAD. BC WILL TAKE AWAY RUN GAME WITH EVERYBODY IN THE BOX.
ND IS PUSHING LOVE FOR A HEISMAN LOOK SO THEY WILL RUN, RUN, RUN, WHILE WIDEOUTS ARE WIDE OPEN ALL DAY.
WITH BC INJURIES WITH DBs, YOUR GUYS WILL BE OPEN ALL DAY, BUT.....IT'S ALL ABOUT GETTING LOVE THE LOVE."
TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT......He was absolutely correct as I saw our receivers open all day on runs for 2 yards. you could see the pre snap matchups, 1v1, so why not check off?
I can buy it.
will do that to you.
BC in a nutshell.
is stacked against the run. Sometimes you have to loosen up the defense with passes before you can "run the ball". Carr has the potential to pass for 350 every game and I bet Love would gain 150 that very same game. Also for being the most valuable player to a team, (he is a running back way more important than a wide receiver), he should win the Heisman. Sadly he won't because the QB is always the most important player and this year the wide receiver from OSU is already the best player even though not the most game dominating.
