Be careful what we wish for. IU playing on all cylinders. ND has serious RZ & kicking issues.

That can all change but that how it sits right now.

Im not sold on IU, they've beat 4 "tomato cans'"and a couple of average teams.

They have yet to face any team with a semblance of a running attack and aside from Dante Moore no "ELITE" QBs...Altmyer is good but not spectacular, Washington is a potential stud and Nico is a stud without any weapons. I'd take my chance on Love going for over 100 again because I'm sure we would be smart enough (never know these days) to run the ball at least 30 times and keep IU off the field and we would be the best D they faced by far this season.

Thread Level: 3

At the moment, IU is a better team than ND.

9th in total defense vs 53rd for ND
3rd in total offense vs 17th for ND

We better get better fast if we have to play them. I say all this as a confirmed Hoosier hater. Their fans and coach, after 1.5 good seasons, are insufferable and delusional. But they are a good squad right now.

I don't think they are that good and their coach is a genuine asshole. Even Saban didn't really like

him and he coached a short time with Saban.

Thread Level: 5

Really, the interview I saw of Saban said he was the only assistant he ever had that

could analyze an opponent and remember every detail which was amazing. Now that was 2 to 3 weeks ago during a pre game show so maybe things have changed.

Stat rankings skewed by opponents aside, I agree. They have crushed every team they played.

Skewed stats, I mean if we played ODU, KENN ST, INST and UCLA we would be #1 on Offense top 10 on D.

Exactly why you can't really go by that if your not going to factor in those poor teams. Indiana has performed well against that schedule but I'm not sold that they are a LEGIT top 5 team.

Disagree: they beat Oregon and Illinois, and would annihilate BC

So you disagree or agree, because you prove my point by naming 2 teams on a schedule of 9?

Illinois is a one dimensional team that can't run on anyone and doesn't rank in the top 100 in rushing offenses. They snuck past USC and beat Duke for their "signature" wins but only impressive win to me was beating Oregon.

Thread Level: 7

I disagree: they have better wins than us.

They are a good and more consistent team than ND right now. We could get better and beat them, but right now, they look better than we do.

Thread Level: 8

Agree. There are several teams ahead of us that are clearly better than we are…

Naïveté would lead you to believe elsewise. We have yet to beat an actual good team and we better hope we can improve over last week’s shitshow.

And WR’s

That's what I was hoping for but BYU is always better than people give them credit for.

Almost certainly won't play out that way. At least not in the way it lines up tonight
