The flag he blew up about and later got fined for by the ACC was clearly a defensive penalty. There is no such thing as a charge in football—his DB was holding the receiver for the entire route until he flopped as the ball passed behind him. The only issue with the penalty is that it should have been defensive holding rather than DPI, which would have given Duke 5 yards and an automatic 1st. So the ball would have been on the 6 yard line rather than the 3.
While I agree with Dabo that college football needs a nationwide entity hiring, assigning and compensating officials, and that officials should be held accountable, his bitching about the calls in this particular game are ridiculous. His team lost because they have been poorly prepared, poorly coached and poorly motivated this season. He needs to stop trying to blame external factors and take a look in the mirror...
Imagine if he suffered through some of the BS we have this year.

I don’t think we are the only team to have bad calls against us. It happens in most games I watch.
The officiating is very poor across the board. Admittedly we have some egregious calls against us but u can see that Clemson seems to have some of their own to gripe about.
I don’t want to get into the ‘ we get it worse than others, argument. Tha is a very slippery slope. I will argue that we should pick our own officials though to remove the appearance that conference officials are intentionally screwing us.
They need to implement a penalty challenge system.

I agree but I don’t think it’s an intentional bad call to affect the outcome. That to me is a
Big difference.
They blow calls all the time. The worst ones to me are the completion they didn’t overturn in the NC st game. That’s reviewable and still can’t get it right.
The face mask thing was an assumption that he grabbed the helmet. That is not the way it’s supposed to work.
Dabo’s not alone. If he was winning you might not hear a peep.
