Eric Schmidt has been named Kicker. I'm guessing our holder was analyzed & is good to go.

Smart move, spend the practice reps getting the highly touted freshman with the big leg straight.

We need a big win to get the kid some reps and confidence. We don’t need a tight game where .

Kicking a field goal or extra point matters this weekend.

Agreed. Burnett was a bust.

Schmidt has a huge leg, and needs the reps.

It's not like the kicking game can get any worse.

Doesn't look like he recovered from the injury

Kicker injuries can screw with their mechanics, and if that injury were bad enough to keep him out of a game entirely, then it's likely to cause him such problems for an extended period of time.

I agree, that Burnette has been a disappointment for us this year, but I understand why he may be having issues.

I also agree to give the younger players with the better talent a shot. I think that with more experience and fewer jitters, Schmidt may turn out to be just fine.
