I wish it weren't. It's just going to hype up the game,

more than I would like it to be.

That's exactly what's needed. ND needs a big win in front of national audience vs a Top 25 opp

Yep. Exposure and "style points" are necessary as a result of the start.

It is similar to last year. (One NIU loss is comparable to two "quality" losses.)

Can still have the chance to win it all...but have to be sharper in a lot of areas.

Shocked they chose this game over Texas/IUGA.

What is deeper is that ND is only a great university because we have an historically NATIONAL footprint as a mythical football team.

Who cares? Harvard was funded on whiskey running, Yale on the slave trade, Duke on tobacco and Stanford on coolie labor.

Not so sure of that. Besides NBC for home games? The SEC seems to be on

SEC football is on multiple stations, including ABC, ESPN, and the SEC Network. Select games are also streamed on ESPN+ and SEC Network+. The specific broadcast for any given game depends on the broadcast rights for that particular matchup.
ABC: Broadcasts games, including the SEC Championship Game.
ESPN: A major broadcast and cable partner for SEC football.
SEC Network: A dedicated cable network for SEC content.
ESPN+ and SEC Network+: Streaming-only platforms that offer additional games that are not on traditional TV channels.
Streaming services: You can also stream games that are airing on ABC or ESPN through services like YouTube TV or Fubo
