A loss vs Pitt would be a devastating blow to the program. Pitt is a pretty good football team. Their frosh QB is unafraid and plays very well. Their receivers are very good. This game smells fishy and I can't wait till it's over.

I do think they will probably be the best offense ND has faced since Texas A&M and USC.
This game will give us a better indicator as to how much the ND defense has improved. I think we will all agree that the Pitt QB can’t have all day to throw the ball. I will be curious as to how the ND defense plays simply because the top teams that most likely will be in the playoffs have really good offenses for the most part. I do feel the ND defense has improved but it’s tough to know how much they have improved as most of those teams we beat weren't the strongest is my point. I’m excited for Saturday! No excuse for ND not to win this game.

We will annihilate them. Stop shitting your pants over playing a ranked team. We need this to prove we (sort of) belong. We’ve really played a shit schedule and this is the last redeeming feature of it. Oregon will destroy USC so they won’t be ranked anymore and that leaves a win over Pitt.

We haven't played a shit schedule, but what we don't have are any great wins.
We have "valuable losses," unfortunately. This keeps us out of the top portion of the rankings, as it should. Alabama has some very good wins. So does Texas A. & M. We have some decent wins and some wins over lousy teams. So as of now, we're about where we belong.
And yes, I agree with you completely on this weekend: We need to batter Pittsburgh. They're a lower ranked team than us, and if we are truly #9 in the nation, we should show it this weekend. Lose, and we simply don't belong on the playoff conversation anymore.

I predicted a 10-2 season with Pitt being one of the losses. It’s an odd game…
off campus stadium, odd kick off time, contrary to Narduzzi‘s comments the Notre Dame game means everything to him. Notre Dame needs to bring it, and pit strengths are Notre Dame’s weaknesses primarily it has a great defensive line and Notre Dame has been hurt by three quality wide receivers.

Well you know they were horrible in those first two games and though improved, a hot QB can make
any defensive back look bad because it is the toughest position to play. We got to pressure the QB and throw off their timing a bit. I do think we will outscore them though.
