A good description of what is going on here. Conferences are going to end, or morph.
Only SC and UM are thinking like grown-ups about this, because they both could make more without towing along Rutgers, Maryland and all the other bottom-feeding, not-even-regional-favorites the Big Ten annexed. Both the Trojans and the Wolverines could probably earn four times what this offers them in the next two decades. Maybe tOSU as well.
So if the league forces a vote that they will lose, and I’m on the Board at those schools, my response is “Sayonara, conference, good luck without us.”
