Would like to see a lot of screens to J. Love, J.P. and even to Eli against the stacked box. The long vertical pass isn't the only way to loosen the stacked box up. And it is a higher percentage pass. Love doesn't need much room to break one. Also, some jet sweeps to attack the edges help. What I don't want to see is hand-offs right into the scrum, unless it is used to set up playaction. Also inside the 5, just go under center and pound it. No passes please.
Get used to it.
don't expect an adjustment any time soon.
Like his mentor. his plan, is his plan, is his plan.
If so, Raridon could be the key player on offense, along with Carr, who has to get the ball out quickly.
On the defensive side, the key player could be Christian Gray. Pitt has a very good passing offense and Gray has to have a good game since it appears that man coverage is the best way of stopping the Pittsburgh passing game.
Advantage of a stacked box with an effective passing game.
Doesn’t have to be chuck it downfield either
Getting ball to love and price out of the backfield seems like a great idea.
