Yards per play 21st
Yards per game (399) 47th

Opponents yards per game 10th
Opponents red zone scoring 17th
Not once have I ever heard the CFP committee chair claim that stats are anywhere near the top of the
List for the selection committee.

I see no way that both Texas and Oklahoma win out. The SEC is brutal. especially late in the season.
Perhaps we were clever to schedule our toughest games up front.
If we dropped those two late there is no way we make the playoffs.

There are plenty of tough games ahead for all the Top 25 including our game against Pitt.

There are scenarios where we get left out. But I don’t think there are many. Miami needs to lose
Or get the automatic acc bid which looks unlikely the get to the ACC championship game.
Our most likely scenario is us losing in my opinion which hopefully won’t happen.
As distasteful as it might be, we need a list of teams that we need to cheer for.
Not only today but the rest of the way out. These teams winning will enhance Irish chances of making the playoffs providing we win out.
Alabama and Georgia this weekend.
I'll add SC over Iowa and NC State over Miami.
USC over ORE, ATM over Texas, we're in no matter what, probably hosting.

I think Oklahoma will surely go down at least one more time. Texas may be approaching their
potential but they have underachieved their preseason prognosis by quite a bit.
