I we win out, we are in the playoffs. That being said I saw an article where 30 teams have legit playoff hopes. Who wants to bet the field will be adding teams in the near future?

I get that the revenue generated is huge, but a good team can be punished for falling short in conference playoff, despite having endured a competitive 12 game season.
If the college playoffs were expanded, logic suggests the individual conference championships would have to be ended. It's took many games.
Which I think would mean reducing the regular season schedule by one game or require the conferences to split. Either way there would be a lot resistance.
