Agreed, 1993 was a special case
Everyone felt so sorry for Bobby Bowden, that a lot of them reversed their logic from the 1989 season.
If it were anyone else coaching Florida State at the time, and if I were a betting man, I'd wager dollars to dimes that FSU doesn't win the NC that year.

I have always thought of FSU's '93 title as the 'Bobby Bowden Lifetime Achievement Award'. That is the only way it makes sense.
