CFP status
Even If ND stays number 9 in the CFP rankings this week, but both Alabama and BYU win conference title games, they might both leapfrog us pushing us down to 11. As I understand it, 5 conference champs get automatic bids but only 3 would be teams currently in the top 12, so 2 others would go in and we would be out. Root for Georgia and Texas Tech.

Unless the committee jumps us over Oklahoma, wins by Bama and BYU leave ND out
It's also possible Miami and/or Texas might be jumped over ND. Fortunately about every computer ranking (if they mean anything) has ND better than either of those teams.

Exactly. Yesterday there were multiple scenarios for ND to be a playoff lock.
Now ND is down to two scenarios. Two games to watch closely next week. I doubt the committee will put ND ahead of Oklahoma but you never know.
