It actually wouldn't be hard to argue. BYU played a Big 12 schedule.
As did Texas Tech. Either will be pounded in the first round of the playoffs; that shit conference should not get two bids.
Miami lost to two teams that have a combined 8 losses. ND lost to two teams with a combined three losses. One due to a missed extra point and a fucking horrid missed holding call.

The committe has set up the final week to be between ND and Miami for the last spot. That is why it
elevated Bama in case BYU wins and Bama loses, Bama can still be in. If it comes down to ND and Miami, ignoring head to head would be bad precedent.

True. And I hope I'm wrong. But if the roles were reversed, I would not be happy if Miami got in
after ND beat them head to head. As I indicated below, whatever metrics are used, ND and UM are very close.
