I don't know why everyone assumes that they are in no matter what. Their schedule is an abomination.
Their ranking is due to the "eye test"- OK, let the Irish play Arkansas Pine Bluff, Kent St and Oregon St as well as the Big 12 and we'll compare eye tests.
Only one team from the Shit 12 should be in.
say the won on a last-second FG, then got blown out in the CCG, there might be some people to agree with you. As it is, the game was a blowout, and even with a loss, like McIrish said, the committee just isn't likely to punish TT for losing to a team in an extra game they already pounded earlier.
I agree with you more on principal, but not reality. If CCG can benefit teams, why can't they also be a detriment if you lose. Conferences don't have to schedule them, they want the cash, but now they want the protection of it not counting against them. In reality, this "unwritten rule" is mostly to protect the SEC and B10, so I guess there is a possibility that TT gets dropped out. But with 5 teams between them and BYU not playing, I still don't think there is any realistic way they get dropped out short of getting blown out and lose their QB for the season. One of the post poll analysis videos I watched Tuesday night mentioned that only because it had happened earlier this year.

Texas Tech will not fall that far if they lose

Below 10, only if the sport wants Armageddon. LIke it or not, there is virtually no scenario where Bama gets left out, especially with last year's "perceived" snub. I don't think even a loss and a Jordan Travis scenario would do it.
ND is the convenient "villain" this year for the shortcomings of the system, the shortcomings of the ACC tie breaker process, and mistakes of the Committee.
Everyone is pissed at ND for running off 10 wins in a row, and rather than the Committee saying hey, Miami, don't lose twice to unranked teams, and hey Texas, don't lose to Florida, and hey BYU, play some real teams, and all of you stop complaining, they instead conveniently hide behind ND.
Getting tired of the Western Carolina or Portland State games.
SEC people don't want playoff spots going to G5 teams, but I have heard very few suggest they should also give those games up during the regular season.
